(as a side note - of course the finale will be awesome, for there is much Neville and Luna being KICK ASS)

I've done everything on my to-do list except DDR, since that's not until 5:30 or whenever the husband gets home. I feel extremely accomplished, and I'm so crashing hard early. I've got to make it through the midnight Harry Potter tomorrow night. Must get sleep!

Okay, so this is sort of a meme, but this is mostly me needing your help. My life has become kind of stressful lately, and one of the things that makes me calmer is making lists. Today I made lists of stuff to pack for my trip and stuff to do every day up until my trip and then I made a list of lists that I need to make, but I know all the stuff that's listed in my own head, so I need you guys to requests lists from me. They can be real lists or fandom lists or just crazy stuff.

Am sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepy, which given that it's 2AM, is not really a surprise. I mean, that means I've been up for 21 hours.

But like, three of those hours were spent with Nekromantics and Reverend Horton Heat, which was awesome. Plus they were spent in the company of aigooshesays, which is even awesomer.

And I have to work tomorrow, so I should really get my ass to bed, as it's going to be hard enough to work, much less be up and functional early in the morning too.

So, today was Cupcakes. They turned out pretty fucking awesome, if I do say so myself. Yay! Far less demented than penguins, that's for damn sure. Sadly there was one that was MOST awesome and I fucked it up. I'm hoping I can fix it tomorrow after the frosting is all settled.

I've added a link under my fiction on the side of my page that's a "works in progress/ideas" post. If you have a fic you think I owe you or one you think I should write, feel free to comment. Or if you look at it and know that I said I was writing "Fic X" at some point, let me know. I have the attention span and memory of a very small rock.

Okay - today's to-do list is mostly done, even though I spent the morning encouraging a) filthy Southland porn, b) elementary!school!GK and c) Nate and Brad doing filthy, filthy things to each other in a way that leaves Brad with a new appreciation for Nate, not to mention slightly wary of Nate's mad, ninja sex skills.

Next up is cleaning the house, putting away some grocery type things and making cupcakes. These are fish bowls, so there will be pictures later. I'm making them for a girl at work for her husband's birthday. His nickname is Fish, so they seem appropos. I think these will be easier (and probably less demented than) the penguins. We'll see.

And then I have four fic ideas to work with/on, not to mention the big_bang I'm writing and the GK minor characters thing. Whoops?

Part II

I have much to say, but first things first.

Go read hackthis's amazing story Get Some, which is a Generation Kill High School AU that is full of BOYS and angst and HIGH SCHOOL-ness and just complete awesome. Seriously. Even if you haven't seen GK, you should read this because it's like Friday Night Lights meets a John Hughes movie meets Generation Kill. And it is EVEN MORE AWESOME than that makes it sound.

There is also a Generation Kill Porn Skirmish and everyone should leave prompts so there can be even more awesome fics.

My weekend was great - we went to eastern Washington to hang out by the Columbia river and play in the pool and sit in the sun and have fire alarms go off at 2AM and have to figure out how to put the rain cover on the tent at 3AM when we've never so much as taken the rain cover out of the tent's box. Also the fireworks were pretty and I got good kidlets/mom time and I finished the current story I was working on. It was relaxing and awesome and I would like to go again. As soon as possible.

My week this week, as well as the next two, are going to be super busy as I get stuff done in preparation for my Washington DC trip (OMGTWOWEEKSYAY!), so I shall be around but probably not as much as usual. I know you guys will miss me. ::snuggles you all::

I *think* I'm down to eight comments to answer, though many of them need me to be brilliant and scintillating. I know that's what you guys expect of me, so, you know, I'm working on it. If, by the end of the day, I haven't responded to a comment you've left *before* today, and you want a response, just email me and tell me to stop being a bitch and get back to you. My computer did an update all on its own and I lost a bunch of open tabs that I was supposed to comment in/on.

I need some sort of magical ability to clean my apartment, or at least someone to explain how it's gotten to the state I'm in. And by apartment, I mean house. God. My brain is completely non-functional today. I can't do anything for more than five seconds without feeling itchy. I think it's time for a day in the sunshine instead of basking in the glow of my computer. Also, a massage. Er, I need a massage. Preferably given to me by someone hothothot like Alexander Skarsgard or Ioan Gruffudd or Matthew Rhys or Stark Sands or Jamie Bamber or Ray Stevenson. I approve of boys with good hands.

Nathan Fillion is in Seattle and I kind of want to stalk him. I twittered a response to him, which is likely the closest I'll get. Besides, he would be appalled to know that I've never seen Firefly or Serenity, I'm sure, and thus demand a better quality stalker. I'm sorry, Nathan! Joss broke me before he got to you! I'm sorry! Also, he would probably laugh at the fact that I just want to ask him about Jon Huertas. Um, not that I don't like Nathan Fillion, but Jon Huertas! Poke, you guys! POKE!

I kind of want ice cream, but we don't have any and I'm in my pajamas. OMG, my life is so hard. I wonder if I froze cheese if it would taste the same. Probably not. Otter Pop it is.

Tomorrow I get to sleep in and I have to make two pound cakes. Obviously not at the same time. Sleeping in, of course, means that I will again stay up to some ungodly hour so that it negates the whole benefit of sleeping in. That's how I roll. You guys. It's almost July. How the hell did that happen?
